Bobak Violino Instruments
Two excellent violin makers - Jan Szlachtowski & Andrzej Swietlinski who has been working with us for over 25 years. They build instruments according to their own concept, based on proven models, using for this purpose only properly seasoned acoustic wood. Therefore, each instrument has its own individual character and quality sound!
Jan Szlachtowski
specialization: cellos based on Montagnana and Goffriller model with fine antique style.
Jan Szlachtowski was born in 1951 in Nowy Targ, where he lives and works today. In 1970 he finished Technical College of Violin Making in Nowy Targ where he worked under direction of the old Polish Master - Józef Bartoszek. Szlachtowski learned his violin making skills at William H. Lee workshop in Chicago, where he worked in 1987-1988.
Since 1988 he has been working in our workshop, where he primary focuses on creating new cellos. The Szlachtowski cellos are quite famous around the world today and these instruments are perfect for students and young professionals.
Andrzej Swietlinski
specialization: violins and violas.
Andrzej Swietlinski was born in 1962. He is a graduate of the Fine Arts High School in Zakopane. He also studied sculpture at Jan Matejko Academy Of Fine Art in Krakow. He has acquired his professional violin-making experience in Bobak Violino workshop in 90's and since than he has been working for us, proudly representing our workshop.
Swietlinski mainly concentrate on creating new violins based on Guarneri's Ole Bull model.
